You Know You're Getting Old When:

I cut off or otherwise remove those damn child proofing things whenever I can.

 

Child proof. Pffft. You showed them huh?

I was going to say "You know you're getting old, as are fellow VFR owners on the forum, when you read the entire thread, and wonder who'll still be posting by the end of it".

 

You will know I have gotten as old as I ever will when my best friend posts up what he said at my eulogy.

 

These days, "Child proof" converges with "Senior proof" and "Idiot proof". Just look at a modern gasoline jug.
Tort lawyers put Blitz out of business, because of the brainless who set themselves or others on fire.

And what we have now is..... stupid. I cut the safety stuff off of new jugs before they ever see fuel.

 

And a child has no problem getting through them..... More government control over our lives. Pretty soon, we won't have to think. Just get on the bus to go vote for who they tell us to vote for (or is it pay us now?)

 

You know you're getting old (and probably a little heavy) when occasionally, you need to stop and take a breath when you are clipping your toe nails.

 

You know you're getting old when you wake up in the morning laying in bed and having a great stretch, and hurt yourself while doing so. hen you get up, look in the mirror, and see your grampa looking back at you.

Never mind young fella, you, like us all, will become old but you don't have to change the way you live; just adapt.

 

It not jus the cards, but all the other crap they send.

Ask your pharmacist not to use “child proof” bottles if no kids in house.

 

at 10, 20 is old...at 20, 30 is old... at 30, 40 is old... at 40, 50 is old...at 55, I don't feel a day over 35

You know you're getting old when you sit down to watch some good TV with a nice whiskey on the rocks in hand and you immediately fall asleep. What is not understood about aging in this instance is that half an hour later, you wake up and the whiskey is still in your hand and you haven't spilled a drop

 

You know you’re getting old when you’ve been waiting all day at work for the first Motogp race to watch after getting home and showering.

I thought I had a great post to add here but by time I scrolled to the end of this thread, I forgot what it was.....twice!

 

You know you're getting old when you are filling out a form on line and have to scroll through three pages to find your birth year.
