The Red Skelton Show on Sunday nights. They always did two comedy sketches and "The Silent Spot." I grew to hate that part of the show because it meant that it was almost over and that in turn meant that it was bed and school the next day.

I was four years old, living in Dallas, when Kennedy was shot. I remember because of the absolute panic in our house. My grandmother and my great uncle Bob were downtown that day and saw him go by on his way to death.

You know you're "really" getting old when you find some of the shows somewhat offensive.

 

It's not the shows, it's the commercials! Toe fungus, diarrhea, irritable bowel syndrome, all during the dinner hour.

 

You know you are getting old when you look at a web page dedicated to actors and musical artists and you do not recognize any of them.
