Most of this could have been avoided with R+G sliders and bar end sliders or If Your me-boot slider LOL-this is a painful idea, but it did work with the help of a truck driver to get the bike of my foot.:chairshot:

    919 - 2x
    VFR - 1x

The VFR tip just happened tonight... Luckily my truck bed extender broke the fall... And my mirror. Anyone have some old OEM mirrors that'll fit an 06?

    Down for three.

You can get after market mirrors on line for a fraction of what you pay for OEM. Just make sure they ship out of California and not China. They are identical to OEM as far as I can see. Fit like a glove.

Lucky you. My drops have been straight to the floor. I still think frame sliders are for pansies.
Oh yeah, mirrors shouldn't be an issue to get. I got mine from scuba long's garage.com for free after I almost traded paint with a car and lost the right one in the process.

I'll be a pansy any day of the week with my Nice heavy duty R+G sliders and have my money go to Dead head girls with bad feet instead of scratched up plastic parts.:horn::whoops:

I have another drop to report. Last week I was riding into Spokane, Washington. Very windy! Just as I was pulling up to a stoplight a HUGE gust of wind hit me broadside from the left side as I was putting my left foot down. It caught me and literally blew me and the VFR over! The wind?!? I tried to catch it but it had already reached the tipping point, so my "save" turned into a slow drop on the right side. I gently placed the VFR on the asphalt. The guy I was riding with helped me pick it up. A scratch on the bar end and the knurl on the brake lever and the side case ribs. And my pride was destroyed! Argh!

Another case for the R+B sliders and folding levers and barend silders. My last drop zero damage because of my R+G sliders, so I now have two official drops. The bike feel over due to a old hag in front of me going too slow and me not stopping at a safe place to put my foot down. The first one destroyed my clutch lever and my foot almost got crushed-no slider at that time except for my boot. Two VFR drops for me. I am getting much better at riding the vfr- partly due to learning and mods to the bike like getting rid of boat anchor stock exhaust.:mmph:

It just occurred to me as being both a VFR and a Harley owner(for now)...if we shouldn't at least start putting the bells on these bikes??

I don't care who you are IF you own a VFR, that bitch is going horizontal!! Speaking from experience of course :grey:

Put me down for another one. As I was leaving the driveway this morning on my GS500 I saw my neighbour who was parked across the road (wasn't even a hot chick which would have at least added some credibility to ths sorry tale) As I pulled off and waved the stupid thing stalled and of course fell over (why is it that a bike suddenly gains 100Kg when the engine isnt running!) leaving both me and the bike sprawled across the road. Said neighbour managed to hold back his laughter, helped me pick it up and asked if I was ok. Luckily no damage just one very bruised ego.

Happened to me for the first time today, dropped it on the drive whilst wheeling it by hand. Scratched the fairing and brand spanking new pannier

I think we are back up to date. I just want to personally congratulate all you incompetent misfits. It is saying something for the people of VFRW to be so clumsy, yet still breath. Good work boyz. Proud to be part of y'al

It tells me that we love our bikes, hence, we are happy when we ride them. The more time one spends on his bike, the higher the chances of dropping it. A game of probabilities.
