Semi-off topic: I can't tell whether or not motorcycling has made me a worse cager. On a bike, I'm attentive and have am paying attention intently on my surroundings, like a cat ready to pounce out of the way of the next hazard. In a cage,I don't feel that same sense of urgency (anymore), I become more lax in my driving (at least it feels that way). That, or riding a bike has made driving a better driver, I'm driving attentively unconsciously. I've noticed since I've started riding, in a cage I'm scanning a lot more, signaling/shoulder check on any and every maneuver, paying attention to lane position, driving in the least hazardous position, etc. But it also feels like I'm putting a lot less effort into the act of caging, i could be half asleep and still drive the same. Hmmm, they should study the effects of motorcycling and car driving, would reveal interesting results.
