    What do I do,
It's been average temps of 20 - 30F, so if the roads clear I at least ride to work & if sunny out I may go for a 100 mile round trip scoot.

If it's real bad I just pack up & head to So Cal & ride down there:tongue:

& if I can't get to SoCal because of weather then the Snowmobile comes out:biggrin: .

I guess I just won't give in to all this Global warming - :der:

That’s exactly how cold it was here this morning but I decided to bite the bullet and ride in to work. It was pretty damn cold! I usually take the interstate but I couldn't take the wind blast so I rode surface streets through town. I had all the vents closed and my face shield started to fog up so I opened the chin vent and it didn't help. I decided to stop at a convenience store to wipe it off. After I got off the bike I discovered it was not fog, it was ICE building up on the inside of the shield. Once I got the shield cleaned off I left the chin vent open for the rest of the ride and didn't have any more problems. Heated grips would have been great but I think I'll just take the truck in next time it's this cold.

It was 17 degrees earlier today. Too cold to ride and there is no snow for the snowmobile. Something's gotta give! I read bike magazines and get on here to try and get good ideas and learn something. Started college semester yesterday too. Last one! That should keep me busy.

living in eastern canada and being hit by a low pressure systems at least twice a week.. I usually hop on my VMAX 600 (snowmobile) which is the next best thing to a motorcycle this time of year and go on a long adrenaline filled drive. Although I miss driving my viffer, it's a win win situation when it comes to having fun at 100mph :)

I've been fighting off the urge to spend money on a new TV. With all the hype from the games going on and the superbowl coming up my old tv is close to getting replaced. If I hold out for a while I won't need the new tv because I won't be home..... out on my bike saving lots of $$$. Spring needs to get here before I break down and just buy one!!!

NO WAY would I be hard enough to scrap ice off my shield to ride in with those kinda temps. I don't really like being outside PERIOD below 70F. You must be harder than woodpecker lips...

Im in Rhode Island, it is madness, they dump MOUNTAINS of sand and salt on the roads so even if it was warm enough for the bike, I would be contending with that, it is super risky riding up here in the winter. I also need to get the bike out of my buddy's basement where she is wintering....

but for now, I have a PCIII, O2 eliminators, a blue LED strip, and soon some LV Carbon Cans to install..... just gotta bite the bullet and buy the cans...

I console myself with threads like this, resigned to the fact that spring is still 2 months away, knowing there are others that suffer from the same affliction helps the winter Jones.
