No problem. ...they're all stuck to my garage door; easy storage for magnetic tank bags! :)

I'm around all weekend (I think). ...I'll PM you my phone number.

Honestly the first thing you should do is get rubber on those wheels then build up from there. Havacar has good info.
Ride then decide. Most mods dont do a hill of beans for the avg rider. More people will get a power commander and cans then ride a poor suspenssion. Anyway power commader , slp ons etc. Gearing the best bang for $ is +2 rear. You could do a 520 conversion. But i think bang for $
    Is:

Tires, new chain spocket kit with +2 rear you will be surprised at the perormance of the machine. Power comander cans etc are like next step both $ and performance.

New tires are like $225 ( mich power pilot 2ct or bridgestone bt016) a set if you change yourself. Add $80 to have someone else do it. Chain and sprocket kitis like $220. Those alone will make a big diff. Power comander and cans are like $1k but then your suspension may be lacking. What is your weight? Suspension will add more to your cornering than slipons. Just a tought.
Like i said havacar and the other guys have good info. Enjoy the new bike.

I've only had the bike for three years (20k miles) and I'm actually a piss poor wrench but have been fortunate enough to have had the resources to experiment, both good and bad, with different mods untill I got the bike exactly how I wanted it, short of suspension upgrades. In fact, if I wasn't intending on buying a superbike I would go ahead with the suspension mods. There are so many different types of canyons in CO that living here has also provided a helpfull gauge for tuning compromises depending on style. I'm very much a speed limit in the straights (usually), fast in the turns kind of rider, and found the +2r to fit the bill in all types of cornering, rather than changing sprockets every other ride. It's too bad Littleton couldn't happen for now (hope Mom is doing OK), the riding is pretty damn spectacular just minutes from there. Should you find yourself out here, definitely look up some of us locals, we'd be happy to show you around. If not, I know I'll be hitting Laguna Seca one of these days.

Suspension mods are your best bang for your buck on gen 6. A little pricey but soooo worth the effort and you will never be sorry.

    Okay I is confused???

    Holy Smokes Havcar! :scared:
No offense intended here, but either everything in Colorado weighs more or your Two Bros M2 Titanium exhaust system is made out of thin air. :twitch:

Fudging the numbers a smidge is cool by me but your weight savings quote of -20lbs over stock for the M2 Titanium exhaust is just a bit more than a teensy smidge on the imaginative side. :nono:

I weighed that old stock Stainless Steel exhaust from my '03 and my Two Bros carbon fiber "Stash" exhaust on a digital shipping scale at work. My c/f "Stash" exhaust weighed in at just a tad over 8lbs,Two Bros calls it 9lbs.

Here's the link to the Two Bros "Stash" exhaust system webpage. Those same weight quotes are listed in the last line of the product description.>>>>Two Brothers Racing :: Honda VFR800fi Motorcycle Exhausts

The reason I weighed those two exhaust systems myself was to see if the Two Bros weight quotes were accurate.
Yeah I know,I'm a goob,I find that sorta stuff interesting.

Sorry I had to call you out on this one my friend. :sorry:

If I had the chance to do it again....

    Exhaust, tyres and suspension rebuild.

Exhaust - just makes me feel like other cars are more aware of me in traffic (essential as I commute every day)
    Tyres - Obvious
Suspension maintenance/rebuild - I went the whole she-bang with this but was told that the valves that come with the VFR are fine and that just the spring change and fluid in forks would have beneficial results.

I was so impressed with the change of the bike with the slip-on.

I have pazzo shorty levers but would probably get the ASV levers next time cause I prefer the look.

Another mod I loved that was cheap was the carbon look tank protector and fuel cap cover.

It is actually closer to 18 and change, twenty is just easier and sounds cooler. I gotta say though, I got a tick over 25lbs for OEM weight on my scale, and 7lbs for the M2.
