Winter is arriving

In LA, if you hang your 501's out to dry in any month you will be pantless when you go to take them off the line.

 

I'm in NorthWestern IL, and I too had some flurries Saturday AM. Supposed to be decent here in a couple of weeks.

If any of you Sacramento guys can stand wearing long underwear, riding over 80 to Reno really is a nice ride in the winter. So far, I've been able to make it up every calender month (spread out over the last two years) when the weather is clear. The Truckee basin gets a bit chilly, but it's a pretty ride when there is snow on the mountains.

It is really fun when there is a full moon, but it is borderline too cold for me (18 - 30 w/o windchill thrown in).

Winter suck for riding a road bike... However, I do enjoy my truck then...

Of course all you Cali boys wouldn't know about that, every 4x4 I saw out there had never seen an once of dirt (desert racers excepted). Of course, we don't have to deal with fires, quakes, floods, mud-slides, water shortages, terrible schools, insane crime rates, insane cost of living, insane people (or at least not as many), etc, etc. I lived there for about 10 years, then remembered what life was like for the rest of the world, and moved back to "God's country".

And at least in MI winter is only about 3 months... Besides, anything over 80f is just fricken too HOT!
