Its not that we hate the bike, from what ive read (and yes ive read the whole post to this point) its mostly a hate for the attitude the hd riders have toward other bikes and the noise they make.

From the numerous police files, we have proved attitude adjustment just doesnt work. This is also why the bike never gets an exhaust system that is both efficient and quiet. Instead it is replaced with straight pipes.

oh and whom ever posted the two blobs on a bike: may your chicken strips be fat and wobbly!
I now have to burn the retinas out of my eyes!

So you may ask WHY do I own a Harley? long story...it's my damm X-broinlaws fault, that and a impulse buy...have regretted it since, nice bike though!! So why don't I sell it? tried last November dunno what I will do this year yet...on both bikes for that matter.

PS/ Like to sell them both and get a CB 1100

It's not that I hate Harley's I just can't stand the "culture" behind them. According to most Harley owners (mostly the posers), NO, it IS what we ride, the most common phrase uttered by an HD rider..."So when are you gonna get a REAL bike?". Most HD riders I come across never give you a wave, or even a head nod, cannot for the life of them just let their bike idle, they constantly rev them, and when leaving an establishment or stop light, have to do so at full throttle! Add this to the image they give to the general public too. Last weekend while having lunch at Neptune's Net (A local eatery on PCH), just about every HD rider there had a tall boy can of beer in their hand, maybe with one or two empties at their table too, had on little to no safety gear on and yet hop on their bike almost immediately after finishing their last beer! Of course when they leave as a bunch, ALL of them have to rev their engines and take off at full throttle, combine 6 to 7 bikes with straight pipes and you get nothing but pure rudeness. Yes, we all like the sound of our bikes, doesn't mean everyone else does, especially the non biking public. The video I posted a few pages back sums it up for me, not only about the make itself, but more in regards to the rider. I do not think I'll ever own a Harley, it's just not for me, but to each his own. Peace Out!

Its funny how they do like to drink and ride to excess, thats the only time their bikes get a lean angle is when they are parked outside a bar. They sound all bad arse too when they rev up them motors and head out on the highway, but they got nothing really to back it up nothing really above 85mph. I have a twin thats half the capacity and I go by them oy n the highway all the time. I am not big on cruisers though as I dont wana sit on my arse bone and prefer a sport/standard riding position.

That dont make it wrong, I have gotten comments "when are you gona get a real bike?" That just proves to me, that they know nothing about motorcycles :pound:

The bar & sheild company duz know how to market stuff, I read that they are gona be selling a 500 cc cruiser? Maybe it too is made in Thialand or bang-cock or some far off land.

With my Two Brothers can I am prone to leave any establishment or stop light and peg the throttle just to hear my VFR sing. That said, the throttle blip comes from the days of crappy carbs that never idled. It was a way to insure that your bike wouldn't flame out on you unexpectedly. I guess most Harley riders figure this is still necessary. Maybe it is.

Personally I might own a Harley XR1200 but they stopped making that because it wasn't a real Harley. It would go around corners and didn't have floor boards on it.
