    I say,

about the same mix, (but more power, and slightly higher bars)

I fully love the "racing herritage" of the VFR
but the current bike is a great bike (it fills a nitch that nothing else quite fits)

Triumph ST1050 was pretty close (not quite as comfortable)

To get the check book out,... hmmmm, well the wife would be very upset. To make it worth my while... well, I hear that hindsight is 20/20. Let me say I'd need more, more like 20 BHP / 20 ft.lbs. torque.

If you have access to the latest edition of Motorcyclist, there's a great write up on the new Ducati desmosedici V4; an ultra expensive ($72K) street-legal version of the duck GP race bike. But it does go to show the potential of the venerable V4 powerplant with today's technology; 188 bhp in stock form, with another 12 gleaned from the optional exhaust upgrade. Grear driven cams too! I'd love to see just a bit of that in a new VFR motor. Interesting enough, the duck body work reminds me of the early gen Hurricane as well.

HP to loft the front wheel with a roll on would be nice. I'm not too concerned with what Honda will do for a new VFR, they always do a wonderful job with the bike every makeover. What I want is the aftermarket to pay a little more attention to the VFR!!!

When I came to the VFR I was converting from a Buell XB-12 Firebolt. I frequented the premier Buell forum of the BadWeatherBikers. Oftentimes there would be posts replying to Buell owner questions posted by Anonymous posters. It was common practice for Buell of Troy Wisconsin employees to post answers to commonly asked questions on the site and more commonly it was practice for the company to interact with the customers. That said, I'm not sure that Honda practices the same customer/business interaction. I'm not sure that they are really all that interested in what we say, but if they are listening, I'd say keep it pretty much the same. I love my Bike!!! Thumbs up Honda!

Sorry, but i disagree with all three sugestions but respect your opinion.
    My preference is
Same displacement- (but squeze out a few more hp)
Keep the vtec (dont really care too much tho)
Definately no gear driven cams (had them on my 87, noisy and a mechanical liabiility)
No elec windscreen, its not a gold wing. The gen 6 screen is great as is.

    Each un to their own.

I just had the viffer at the track, and Capt america was great.
scraped the pegs on both sides and scuffed the edge on the Michelin's.
note to self: tighten the suspension if you wish to survive.

when the test pilot took out the Supermarine Spitfire on its first flight he told the designers afterward: "don't change a thing"

make it the 1000 or 1100, some tour options as Honda says this is a sport/tour bike.
