What would we do without the logic of Spike to save us from ourselves? I'm thinking if somebody jumped off thier bike and set one of these Michelin Man suits off and the mini-mart had a narrow door...

Then ,what is somebody at the factory just for fun, filled the reservoir with hydrogen and the mini- clerk got freaked and tased the dude.. The suits at 7-11 would crap thier nappies, the mini-mart lobby would hire Karl Rove to ban all such suits from the US , the people would elect Newt Gingrich as Supreme Leader and once again we would find our selves on the slippery slope.

Oh yeah, I think ol Spike's premise here is that all the fast guys are wearing the inflatables.. I wonder if he has one? Probably not..

As I said I was being pessimistic. I didn't say I believed what I typed. Actually I was wearing a lap belt and separate shoulder belt before there was a law to do so. That's from my Autocross and Solo II days Several years before I started racing bikes.

Wearing belts today are like pants. I always have them on in the car.

I think ol Spike's belt may be a notch too tight or his fly is open.

Nolan is a kewel name just to throw a non-sequitur out there. ; )

Side note, me hates belts, and only wear one when the wife bugs me (on my person or car)

Nolan in this case is not only a non-sequitur but a non-grata persona by some circlejerks.

Not a big belt fan mself. The fine signs remind me. Last look it was $150.00 and no suspenders sentences.

I have a jacket Like Long said, however, MY GF wanted to get me one long before I went to Palomar. Being tethered to the bike isn't a big deal, when you forget to unclip it doesn't pop that easy, I forget what the pounds of pull are to actually set the thing off, but once clipped on and you start to dismount you can feel the lanyard and just unclip it. Mine is reusable , as long as the shell isn't compromised it is pretty comfortable to wear and it fits over my leather jacket... I have worn just the impact jacket but I feel like I am wearing a windbreaker... (freaks me out), as far as the cost goes , we picked up mine for under 500 bucks, 450 ish Iif I recall correctly.

And no, I have no idea if it works. I really don't want to find out...LOL

    CR

    EDIT:

If you all want to spring for a couple of new cartridges I will gladly video tape a few inflations of the jacket so you can all see it, I'll e3ven let one of my friends hit me with one of the "swords" that we fight with....

I now know two guys whose jackets are worth more than thier bikes. A guy in my club has a beater Triumph and a Thurlow jacket.

What this thread needs is a couple of cans of C02 and the services of the kid wid the vids.. Brace yo self..
