Currently have Pirelli Diablos f/r, bought during Cycle Gear sale. Also have a Dunlop Roadsmart rear awaiting mounting (pending demise of Diablo) and am considering buying a Roadsmart front while CG is having their sale.

I buy what's on sale, usually sport tires, required here in the treacherous twisties of the northwest. Michelin, Continental and Shinko are about the only tires I've never tried.

    Full Bore M-1 Street Sport.

Have had them for 2000 miles now and they're easily as good as the Battleaxes they replaced...maybe better wear characteristics overall.

I was hesitant because they were such a bargain but they've been ideal so far.
A buddy shipped them up to me from upstate NY (not sure which distributor he used), but they're a smokin' deal at $ 350 the pair IMO - especially if you're putting on a lot of miles.

I'm another fan of the Michelin Pilot Road 2CTs.

Onto my 2nd front found they turned in a little fraction slower than the previous Powers, although I don't do trackdays R2s work so well on the VFR over so many variables eg rain, twisities and still have outstanding HWY wear it'd be hard to even consider anything else.

    good tire but soft.

i wouldn't expect too much from those. That's considered a hypersport tire. It's a medium compound in the center at best and the tire gets progressivley softer towards the edges. Of course it depends on how you ride and how well you take care of them.
