Pilot Power on the front, Macadam on the rear.

The Macadam is only on because the rear Pilot Road got a puncture that wasn't repairable. :frown: The Macadam was the only suitable tyre the shop had.

Will get another Power for the front when the current tyre is toast, I'll probably get the new Road 2CT for the rear when the time comes.

Any update on these? I'm interested in how these work on a viffer for more aggressive riding, as I've read great things about their balance of great wet traction, great wear, and dry handling far in excess of what normally would be expected for a "sport tour" tire with this kind of wear.

Are they all they're cracked up to be, or for aggressive riding should I stick with something like a Pilot Power?

Conti Road attacks for foul wheather,Winter & sport touringWears very well).

More aggressive riding the Dunlops Qualifiers (& I use them racing in light rain as well).

Metzlers I hate & are worse things on the road due to they suck in heat & traction.

I've had good luck with Perelli's but I eat them up fast & they do tear.

Michilins pilots are great on inline fours but on torquey twins & V-4's, as well as my Triumph sprint, I just shread them & break lose to easy.

So for the Track I use Dunlop 209's tri compound, & for pretty much everything else I run the qualifiers on them, with the exception of my Honda F-4 600 as per my reason stated aboveon Pilot Powers.

I'm currently running the Dunlop D220s. I really like them, but they are really the only thing I have experience with. I was told by the previous owner, that he got about 3000-4000 miles out of them. I think this is sort of low. I'm in the process of ordering a new back tire at the moment. The only problem i have had is no one carries this tire in stock.

Initially, I was trying to decide between the Dunlops, Road Pilot, Conti & Pirelli tires. It came down to the Avon and Pirelli tires. I and finally decided to go with the Avon tire. I got the Avon Storm ST tires and they are great. I am really happy with the Avon tires. They really do warm up quickly and grip good on all surfaces. I feel confident with them and no problem flicking it in turns. I have been in rain, sleet, heavy wind and uneven & rough roads - the Avon tires have not let me down. I think they are a great all around tire for some twistie riding /street riding/touring. I got a so-so deal on them locally, because not everyone had them when I got my tires. I would rate them a 9.5 (nothing is perfect) on performance alone and I will see how many miles I get out of them.

Just replaced my rubber, I went from a Metz M1 in front and Z6 in the rear to all Sportech M1's. I like the way they are handling so far. I only have 100 miles on them but its all in the twists around Tahoe.
