Got new tires on my bike but I had to TRAILER it down to a shop today to figure out if it can be fixed easily. Blew a plug out of number 4. Look down it with a bore scope but I couldn't see anything (except that my piston looks real nasty). Hopefully they can chase the threads, otherwise the bill may be more than I can stomach. Then I go to option B for begging ToeCutter. He already said he'd fix it if I got the bike to him, but I don't have any way to get it there until a week before the BBQ which kind of would put a rush on him and I'd feel bad. So... My other option is riding dirty. I have the track bike, but any cop with eyes could probably figure out that bike ain't sposed to be on the real road. I guess if worse come to worst, I may beg a spare bike from a friend for the BBQ but it sure would be weird to not have Scratch up and growling at the party.

I'm bringing one of my bikes regardless whether or not I can ride it. So, which one would you rather ride? The 1198 or the VFR?

Better bring the VFR. We'll never see him if he gets a hold of the Duc.

    Heal fast, Scratch!

Hey wait a sec, Reg can ride my VFR and I'll ride the Duc! Yeah, I like that idea

By the way, she just got some new rubber this weekend, clutch fluid, brake fluid, tune up, just need some brake pads and an oil change and I'm ready!! How easy is it to do brake pads, a friend said it's super easy.

Well... here's a thought... I'll be riding out, Reg can ride my bike with me on the back... THAT would be a cool ride for me!! I know it's not the amazing 5th gen that you're used to Reg, but heck, it's a VFR!! And, occassionally if you want to ride on your own, and someone else wants to take a passenger, I can go on the back with someone else... just another option!!

Chicky, He's laughing because a person reading your post might get the wrong idea and think that you just volunteered to be "passed around" R3.

Only long would think that... perhaps if I didn't have references to "VFR" and "my bike" and "riding on my VFR", I could see it... those damn Rice Kings!!!

Thanks for the offers guys. So I got the estimate from the shop. They wanted 750-800 to fix it. I picked the bike up today and I'm tryin to figure out the cheapest way to get it from here to John in Sacramento. I hate to bum fixing it back up but I just can't pay $700 and he volunteered. I'll buy him a nice doors light or something.

Damn that's right, I forgot about #3 on your list. Some people's gastro-intestinal issues are amazing!!! Let's put it this way, he could generate enough methane out of his arse to power an entire city block for a week!!!

I suggest putting a little Edison Ointment right under the nose when at R3. It will save you some pain. About the same smell as dead people.

Plus, I'd like to see someone 'pass' vfrchick around. Oh, the entertainment value of that is off the charts!
