I live in Indianapolis, Indiana, referred to locally as "Indy" and since I own a VFR, the username sounded good when I signed up on the forum.

I had hesitations using a name to sign onto this sight at first partly due to my suspicious nature brought on by my previous profession so as VFRstar can appreciate my handle is my regimental number from my old days in the Mounties.

Mine pretty much revolves around always having more than one bike and getting grief from friends and family. The actual quote went something like "so you have two bikes for only one person?"

No one else see's the logic of multiple bike ownership like we do

My other bike is a Honda Pacific Coast (PC800) 1997 vintage. I used to ride some with a group of Goldwingers and they used to say "Here comes that Coaster" when they saw me coming. It kind of stuck. :blah:

Mine is easy, the name is Mark, and I ride the best bike ever built. " VFR " therefor. " marksvfr " seemed like a good way to go.

Street cred be damned...PuCaudata is a name I picked up from a Starcraft guild in college. Our name was the Fighting Salamanders. Each one of us took on a two-part name. In my case, Pu is the symbol on the periodic table for Plutonium. Caudata is the latin suffix for salamander. As you probably can guess, each of the other members took on an element themselves. Pretty dorky, eh?

PuCaudata...excellent name. I had wondered. I think newts and salamanders are some of the most amazing critters around...always fascinated by them.

I agree. Newt always seemed like more a lounge lizard than a salamander.

A license on my old GSXR meaning wicked blade. Magazines and such commonly used terms like weapon, scalpel, etc. I just used that on my first forum sign up long ago, and am now stuck with it to maintain consistency.

It's kind of lame to begin with, and most people don't get it anyway. I hear wicked blood, wicked bold, weekend bold (the worst).

Oh well, please trust that I'm much cooler than the name suggests.

I'm a veterinarian and DVM stands for doctor of veterinary medicine. The "s" is missing an apostrophe for ownership of a VFR )
