Changed all the fluids in the VFR. Linked brakes are a pain in the ass!
Did a mod on the DR 650 air box and rejetted, running very nice.

32*F today on the way to the office ... roads were wet and dirty. :(

It's currently sunny now and it'll be about 55*F on the way home after work today.

Well ... the sloppy shitty ride in to work this morning made a mess of my bike, so I took to the car wash on my way home, cleaned it up, and filled it up with some 91 octane. :)

Sucks, in five years only got caught 2 times in the rain on my VFR...no biggie...in the 80's only had a bike, rain or shine....

Oh, any noticeable difference with that gas?

Rain doesn't bother me ... it when it freezes that causes me fits. :)

I ride rain / shine. A good set of rain gear does wonders ... couple that with heated grips and jacket liner and your cozy warm.

I get better fuel economy on 91 octane and the bike just seems run smoother overall in the heat of summer.

We have that Cali additive for summer months and of course the bump in cost. Think I may try a higher octane ta see if I get better mileage. Never have ridden with heated gear or grips...must be nice and toasty

I ride mostly highway, I was tracking every tank last year and there was a noticeable difference for me in the mileage - enough to continue paying more for the Premium.

Regarding the heated gear - I've ridden with heated grips and good rain gear in the past. The heated jacket liner is new this year, and I can't believe I didn't get one sooner. Even the collar is heated. Riding to work in 32*F this morning was almost uncomfortable with how hot it got. I have a temperature control on the way. :)

Yup. I watch the back deck, puddles on the driveway, and our windows as a gauge of how safe the roads are.

If there's frost - it's a big negatory on riding.
