When you were here, did you ever see HB look like this? Hail storm today covered the beach so much it looked like snow! Surfing and snow boarding the same day just got easier!

From what I understand (from Sebspeed and couple others on VFRD) the 1998 through 2014 bikes use the same cover.

Just looked over the thread again. Check Post #134 by Veefe8r00Canuck. He mentions that the 5th and 6th gen share the same right crankcase cover and since the engine is a basic continuation of the 6th gen, the new bike uses the same cover. Seb mentions in the thread that he can fit the rings to quite a few clutch covers. You just need to shoot him a PM and send him your cover to get the mod done. You will need to get it powder coated or painted once you get it back and install a new gasket. The turnaround time for my cover was really quick (less than 3 weeks) even with the cross border shipping, but it did take me a long time to get the bike back together cause I wanted to add a few other bits, which led to other things, and so on, and so on,............. You get the idea.

Had I known you were interested in the clutch cover mod, I would have let you know about one I saw a few weeks ago. No worries though, they come up from time to time. I'll keep my eye open for you.

^looks neato, like the ducati dry clutch eye candy. :loco:

Did a braided clutch line, over hauled the clutch master and installed a new slave cylinder. Now the 93 bike feels like the 91 I gots. Cheers

It all started with bleeding the hydraulic clutch system. Before I knew it, i was waxing individual body pieces in my warm basement and had my stock exhaust, gutted, off to be welded back together. The picture of my ford turd yesterday at -1 degrees makes me feel as if i am not totally OCD but just sick o this record breaking low temp winter in my neck of the woods. I am currently working on the CB 750 in similar fashion :)

Oh and what a bummer on my left lower fairing. It has been resprayed but original paint is still there where it connects to the front fairing so you don't notice a difference. Bought this with 2400 miles on it. It was definitely dropped while stationary. as the end bar has a small scar.

Luckily, while mounted on the bike, it is not noticeable as you need direct light to see the slight difference. My buddy will be finished with my exhaust soon so I am certainly getting itchy. I ride bicycle as well and have been taking my cyclocross bike out in the slop. I don't have a motorcycle that I wan't to take out in the same htough.

I used my new (to me) PitBull stand to lift the rear of the '01 so I could finally put on the 2Bros exhaust I had laying in the garage. Special thanks go to member barnett.clint, he and I exchanged some components. He wanted the low mount version, which I had, so he could use his side cases. I wanted the high mount version, which he had, so I could get the rear wheel on/off easier and to allow better view of the 8 spoke wheel. Picked up the PB stand for $60 and paid $30 for the VFR pin. The stand came with pins for a Ducati.

Thanks. I feel like the exhaust really compliments the look of the bike.

Early in the day, in the middle of nowhere, TX = Very little traffic. Wouldnt have tried to take that shot on a road in SoCal. I feel like the photo was worth the momentary risk.

It was listed in another forum, when I saw $60 I immediately called dibs! Then I went to PitBull's website to confirm I could swap pins for a VFR. Didn't want to risk losing out on it. Another member had a standard swingarm stand for $80 which I got for my Duc and some friends bikes I help work on. The deals are out there, it all comes down to timing. Looking for the hybrid front stand, if I can grab that for cheap, I'd be really happy.
