The Hampton Hawes Trio then moving to the music from Pokeyman Go

 

Seen The Cure more than a few times, on pretty much every new album tour, and they never disappoint. They've come such a long way from those early days but it does feel good to see them perform those old songs live. What was it the kids from South Park said? Oh yeah, "Disintegration is the best album ever!"

 

To be honest only followed them actively in the early days up to The Top with Shake dog shake, oddly this was also around the time I stopped enjoying herbal alternatives but seeing them live I pretty much enjoyed all their songs and it was great to see how many young people in their mid 20's that were really into them at the concert. A Forest & Primary remain my all time favorite songs of theirs.

I got the discs with an interlibrary loan using "Worldcat" as a database. I don't own them. I ripped the entire set using Microsoft's Media Player. I use the older version rather than the newer supplied with Win10. The playlist was made up for a friend having a birthday today. I picked out the song titles that were for the most part, American Standards all the way from Hoagy Carmicheal to Gershwin to Johnny Mercer. Two other playlists went off in the mail to the same friend. The entire Stan Getz/Charlie Byrd album "Jazz Samba" and 30 tunes by Diana Krall. The last I have either the reel to reel tapes, the 33s or the CDs.
