Cops on Joplin? WTF? In all my years riding there, I can probably count on one hand how many I have even seen just driving it (except for the numerous overturned vehicles I've run on it).

Well I was thinking about getting something together for Saturday, with naked twins being the theme, but all are welcome of course. Probably meet up down here around 10 and head out to Lovingston. I am fresh off the Dragon (this am actually) so bring your sticky tires or a flat bed!

    Saturday 9/12

Saturday 9/12...9am at Starbucks across from Short Pump Mall. Leaving at 0930 and heading to 522 and 711 (about 30 min) to top off and head to the mountains. Should be back around 4-5pm after ~300miles.

    Hey Matt,

Sorry to hear of your bike issues but always a good excuse for upgrades. Thought I saw you a couple weeks ago riding down Linton Hall but I was in my cage. I have not been riding my bike as much this season but hopefully I can get out there again soon. So what pipes did you decide on to replace those D&Ds?

    Scott

    Greetings.

I'm new to this group. I picked up my first VFR this May. I live in Alexandria, VA and would be interested if there were any rides up my way or in WV.

    Thanks,
    - Don

Hi Don. I'm fairly new to this group as well and live out between Warrenton and Culpeper. There are some pretty good roads west of Haymarket and some very pretty scenic roads (Civil War battlefields) right in my back yard. Maybe we can get something organized for a Saturday or Sundy ride soon?

Scott- Did you take take your superbike class at VIR? I replaced the d&d with the DELKEVIC VFR800 98 99 00 Stubby Muffler slip on exhaust. Came with a silencer which seems to work. So far I like the exhaust. Fit and finish was very good and it seems overall a lot quitter than the d&d. But most important, it's not a d&d!! Now most of the noise that my bike makes is from the airbox.

Larkin- Sorry I couldn't make it down for the ride. I'm sure it was epic as always!

Sunday I got out for about an 1.5hrs. and ran across someone on a maroon vfr in the Marshal and The Plains area. Flipped a bitch but I couldnt catch up to the rider.

May try and get out for a quick ride on Saturday morning. Anyone interested? Let me know and I'll get started on putting something together.

I noticed that this thread is picking up a bit. I'm in Manassas...good roads to ride on out in Fauquier County...I grew up out there.

At the moment my vfr is down until painting is completed (next week). I do have something else to ride if ya'll don't mind riding with someone on a non-vfr. :)

I need to see if my mother inlaw will be willing to come over and watch my son so I can log some miles. She offered last weekend but it turned out that I didnt need her to watch him. I'll post something up as soon as I can get confirmation. And yes non vfr's are allowed. But just for kicks who all would be interested in a ride on Saturday morning?

I'm hoping everyone would be fine with meeting up at 8am at Sheetz. The plan- Head West. Looking to be back by lunch time(+/-). Pace will be smooth and we will go over everything before we leave. That way everyone gets the ride they want and we make sure we are all on the same page. More than likely we will have to keep a chill pace with the rain that is scheduled for the next couple of days. I know a lot of the roads out west with lots of tree cover take some time to dry up. And I don't have the time to do a pre ride inspection of roads. Plus I havent really sat down and come up with a route yet. I'm open to explore other people's ideas for routes. Have something in mind? Put something together on google map and send it to me via PM. Feel more comfortable being the leader, then by all means. Come up with a plan and lead the way!

BP- I hope you can make it out! Its been a while since we have been out. I just got confirmation that I have a sitter for Saturday morning. So I will be at the sheetz at 8am. I'm thinking stands up no later than 8:30. Gives everyone time to grab some gas, a bit to eat, or whatever.

So... the group plans to be back in Haymarket around lunch time? If I could plan on being back to Alexandria by say, 2:00pm then that could work for me. I guess it depends on how far west the group rides. I don't mind breaking away from the group to head home early if need be.

I have not ridden much in Fauquier County since I always head out west to the mountains so that sounds interesting because its much closer to Alexandria.
