    I started down the Highland Park path with their 12 year old which is mighty fine when you compare it to the other 12 year old singles. But that 25 year old is so smooth, it is orgasmic in satin sheets.

    I had a bottle of Lagavulin 16yrs & a Bowmore 12. There's something about Islay single malts...Just prefer them over speyside & highlands.

    Personally, knowing very little about scotch in general, I do believe I would go with whatever Randy says about the stuff. He would be, by far, the resident VFRW scotch officianado. I think there was a thread about it once. Ahh yes, here it is...............

    Today is Thanksgiving, and I just want to take a moment to thank all of your for your support of VFRworld, not just financially but for your contributions to the community. I have been running this site for many years, and we've seen people come and go, but I know many of you have been with me since the early days. Many lifelong friendships have been formed on VFRworld, and that is what life is all about. I am truly thankful for what we have built here.

    Since I posted this original thread, 13 members have become VFRworld Insiders, and I want to especially thank those folks. Every little bit helps to pay the bills around here, and your donations don't go unappreciated.

    Most of all, I want to yet again thank the amazing administrators and moderators on VFRworld. They help us every single day and I know they personally contribute a great deal of time and effort keeping everything in order around here. I truly couldn't do it without them.

    Happy holidays to all of you and your families, and thanks for making VFRworld the best site on the web.

    A special thanks to Squirrelman who reminds me on a fairly regular basis, that I am advancing in life experiences. Like getting old. He is my mentor that way.
