VFRD Missing

Yes, VFR's. Serious business...

 

It's a privately owned site. Donations are completely voluntary and they have a very loyal following. Miguel has had many opportunities to make money from the site but he consistently turns it down. If you ever hang out with him, he's a good guy. He just isn't into the drama that's acceptable here. Do we really want two sites the be the same?

 

I'm sure the new rules will dramatically improve member participation.

 

Seems they now have a facebook page. Someone signed me up to it last night but I took my name off this morning. I didn't spend much time there anyway and I have an almost total lack of interest in that site anyways. So those of you who want, there you go.

 

Them, Us, Us, Them. Both sites are valuable and informative. Here it seems more humorous and newbie oriented, VFRD more senior and technical. I like both sites equally and find everyone helpful and informed. If we all got together somewhere it would be hard to tell who came from which site.

 

The latter statement is true and in fact I have been on rides posted on both forums, sometimes it's been the same ride and I found that some riders, like myself are on both sites and some are only on one site or the other. The one common comment for either site is that VFRD is more serious and less tolerant to BS and is usually governed by the members and NOT the admins and that VFRWorld is more fun and less strict on what can and is posted but that the BS level is more prevalent.

What constitutes BS I guess is in the eye of the person saying it.
