VFR750 (4th gen.) vs VFR800 (5th gen.): power and weight comparison?

    Yes, but all the info is still relevant to people who are interested. That's why I, for one, am here.
    Anyways, I've owned 3 gens (1st, 2nd and currently 5th). 2nd gen was a gem, and with a cheap front end swap, I would not have hesitated to assign it some track duty. I've seen a couple out there.
    I have much more confidence in my 5th gen (to safely navigate a track, at speed and lean) than I had in my ZX9 or my CBR9, and probably even my CBR6 from that period, as well. I just wouldn't do that to such a loyal and beautiful companion. But Freddy Spencer did, when I went to his school in Las Vegas! I think that should count for something.
    With all of that being said, my current track scalpel is far lighter, more powerful, and I don't cry when I break it, because parts are everywhere (which keeps prices down). It's an R6 and, imho, it is more fun than an Interceptor and easier to work on, in many ways.
