But the number doesn't make it a 'quality' thread drewl:smile:
The One Forties come up pretty fast with out the hard bags on. But, It's no so much the speed......I just wish I hadn't drank all that cough syrup!
Once, on the way to band camp, I saw 205.eep:
i had my bike up to 125mph today she had alot more to go,at this speed this bike is so stable like on rails.
best place to do top speed run in skool zone after a 12 pack now then, before slick50 149 after slick 50 I'll get back to you I am still gaining speed .. wander if i drop a tooth up front and drop 10 in back would help me out since it is easier on the transmition omfg lol lol lol lol !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:bs::bs::bs::bs::bs::bs::bs::bs::bs::bs::bs::bs::bs::bs::bs::bs::bs::bs::bs::bs::bs::bs::bs::bs::bs::redface::ncb::vader::vader::bootyshake2::bootyshake2::vanity::tongue::treehugger::treehugger::cheersaf::cheersaf: it gets funnier everytime i read it fn lol !!
 This reply comes after four hundred and four,... Which begs the question, is another response even necessary? Shouldn't there be a cut off to this thread? Shouldn't the thread be discontinued? When after reading the first few pages where riders say they got scared after running 125mph, I have to ask them and myself, why the hell would you ride a VFR? You need to switch to a boring ass Harley if 125 scares you.
We should continue this thread because people like you keep adding to it.
Hey. How come the guys with the 750s can go 168/169. Not fair!
hi, well in little old newzealand the speed limit is 100ks 62 mph. the fuzz love to get their brownie points from bikes . plenty of little used secondary roads around though . my 2007 red vfr is like a race horse loves to run . i just love it heeps . best bike i ever had . cheers jason . p.s. nz is a great place to tour .....
Hit 157 on my '05. I don't think my speedo is too accurate, though. Probably around 145 MPH.
I would calculate that speed as exactly 397.978 Mph my man.
yes that calculation is exactly correct.i have reached that speed also before the vtec cut in . cheers .
The late great Cycle magazine test of the 1986 VFR 750 : measured top speed 155mph, 1/4 mile time 10.95 @113.5mph - this is the quickest, fastest VFR verified times I know of for any stock VFR.
The VFR has put on more than a few pounds since then. It is now built more for comfort than for speed.
i *allegedly* did 147 on my 6th gen.
I managed 140mph on my '86 when I was easing it up on the highway to make sure my just-mounted 600F2 wheels were lined up and spaced properly. She had revs left to give but was running out of breath, I need to go up a couple teeth in the rear from the CBR 43 tooth.
I guess that is one way to test your wheels and tires. They stay on or they come off!
Hi, I have an 84 1000 with some work done to it. I have gone 130 on it, but I let off before I run out of throttle. Things happen to quick at that speed to be able to react safely. I would love to get it out on a track and really let it hang.
I ran it at 138, out in the middle of Oregon last summer with a pack on the back too. Got there real quick. Verified with GPS onboard. She even had a little left in her, but didn't feel like pushing it. Not bad for a 21 year old with 65K on her.

I beg to differ, my friend. http://vfrworld.com/forums/anything-goes/19602-tiger-tiger.html
