As some of you may have experienced, my VFR petcock leaked like a sieve and as far as I know there are no rebuild kits or new oem options. The used market did not have much either. So, I made an adapter plate so that you can thread in any fuel valve with 3/8 mnpt threads. My kits are not yet complete but they are 90% and are available in a few configurations.

Complete with oring and pingle valve
    Plate and oring
    Plate only

The reason I offer it with or with or without the oring is because you can run a larger oring and or you can use a different material i.e. buna, viton. The reason I offer it as a plate only option is becasue you might not want a pricey pingle valve, or you may have some other application I haven't thought of. Let me know if you are interested.

    Right, prices.

The plate itself is 55$ including shipping in the continental US.

If you want a Honda OEM Oring they are another 25$ each for some reason

If you want an Oring that is not OEM its additional $5.00

The Pingel valve is $165 all by itself.

So a package deal is $225

+ shipping and tax. Last time I bought one from babbits it was a touch under $25. Don't shoot the messenger.

    You're tellin me...

It's been my experience that some people want OEM orings, so I offer it. I also offer an alternative. The only reason I buy an OEM is so I can measure it and know for sure what the size is. After that, I use mcmaster or grainger. Honda parts are unfortunately expensive sometimes and there's no way around it-- sometimes. The cast oem pistons for my VTR were more than my JE forged units, go figure... Either way, I wouldn't get hung up on orings from Honda, just go with the after market or supply your own.

Thanks for checkin in though, glad to see there's some interest.

It is interesting and I am interested. But ordering one OEM oring from a Parts Warehouse doesn't mean an OEM oring costs $25.

    Check out

    https://www.oringsandmore.com/

in addition to McMaster and Grainger. GREAT resource that has saved me hundreds. Very reasonable shipping and super fast turn around.

    Also...

Sum: The total amount resulting from the addition of two or more numbers, amounts, or items.

Package deal: The offer of a lower price if multiple things are bought together.

Just offer the cool plate and a Viton oring for sale and account for your time accordingly.

Unless you are gonna buy a batch of Pingel valves and Viton orings in qty to get a better price, you are not offering a "package deal".

But if your going to singularly order and put together "packages", the "deal" doesn't add up.

Oh... put me down for one a la cart plate please... if that is still an option for me.

Purchased and tracking # already provided. Went for plate only, but anybody probably could have surmised that. ;-)

    Thanks VRF.

    Update:

I wanted to post this earlier because I received my item very quickly, but I've had a very busy last few days. Communication and order processing was superb.

Additionally, this is a very nice piece. The machining is excellent with zero chatter, mismatch or undercut. Appears to have required very little, if any, deburr work or break sharp edges. This piece doesn't have to look pretty, but the fact that it does is a product of skill and pride.

    Thank you very much.
