    Hi there everyone

I'm relatively new here and I need some help. I bought an 86 vf500f about 3 years ago and i love riding this bike, its amazing! However It needs some maintenance and parts replaced. I'm currently dealing with a over heating issue, as it will climb past the regular markings on the thermostat gauge in the cluster. I'm thinking that the thermostat is gone, however I'm not 100 % sure.

Does anyone have a manual for these things? Here's what i would like to get done to the bike:
    - new pads / rotors on the back
    - new pads / on the front
    - new plugs
    - new thermostat to (maybe) fix the overheating issue then rad fill
    - oil change
    - Chain re greasing. I'm not sure about this one as Ive never had to do this on a motorcycle before.

If anyone would have a manual for this bike i would be very appreciative. I love the reliability of this bike, i will let it sit for a while and it still starts up, it just needs a bit of maintenance work , and i can get it riding again.

    Thanks for your help

Start by draining and flushing the cooling system, replacing coolant with fresh stuff, a new thermostat and radiator cap too.

I may have more than one manual for the VF500, I will check this weekend.
