VF1000R Slip on's...

i just called Yoshimura and asked about options and something like the RS-3: RS-3 Replacement Mufflers and Parts

i was told that i'd have to build my own mid pipe but the 18" RS-3 with a clamp could easily be made to work and would still look somewhat period correct.
$250/muffler, $20/ clamp, probably some $50-75 for make a mid-pipe... doesn't seem too bad as long as you have a 2nd exhaust to cut up. there seem to be enough parts bikes around that getting a decent 2nd exhaust(hopefully with dented/scraped cans) to build from wouldn't be that hard! guess i know what my winter project will be when i get my bike!
