Sorry to hear that but best way is to know when it's going on, I have 2 way alarms on most of my vehicles, the keyfob pager beeps if someone even touches them. usually under $75 on ebay and a hour to install. Proximity sensor add ons are good allso, if someone gets within four feet it trips. If they didn't see a red flashing light they figured no alarm and a easy target. Worked great when my 70 Road Runner was hit in the parking lot, neighbor pulled in and scrapped the left rear quarter.... my pager went off, I looked out the window and he was getting out of his car, he paid for repairs.
