    SOME folks are dreaming........

Putting that much extra stress on an engine/transmission not designed for it will result in tears and broken parts soon after installation.

Does your bike get hot sometimes, near the red zone??

Horsepower=heat, and the VFR cooling system is not adequate to dissipate any additional extra heat.

There are bikes designed to handle 160 hp, but the VFR is not one of them......

There's NO FREE LUNCH even for $5500 !

Only problem I have with the cooling system, is when I'm stuck in stop and go traffic on a hot day...

Toro has been running this system for quite a long time, close to two years I think, and hasn't reported any problems. He's approached this very professionally and I don't get the impression he'd sell something that was going to blow your bike up and create liability issues for him.

Also consider you're unlikely to be riding at max horsepower most of the time. More likely running at mid-range you'll be outputting 80-120 hp if running hard, compared to a normal 60-90 say, and the VFR should handle that output just fine with the occasional ramp up to a peak 140-150. I think 160 is an optimistic value, 150 max might be more realistic.

One thing I would like to know based on the video, Is the rider working the clutch to achieve wheelie status or is the VFR completely out of control with that much HP.

If it is in fact the rider showing off, I would possibly be interested in a 6th gen. version. Although Squirrel is making a good point. I have to think it is going to come at a cost, regardless of throttle operation.

Um....you're right. There is no way that the VFR could handle this abuse with repeated beatings on the track on a daily basis. But......most of us would use this on an occasional redline jaunt and wouldn't be using the entire 160 hp for most of our driving. Did you know that when cruising at a casual pace that you will not be using any more horsepower?

The only problem with that, is that if given that kind of power, I believe most of us would utilize it. More often than we would care to admit.

It's a machine. Machine's wear out. Fact of life. Nuff said.

If you can afford the toro charger, you can afford to replace your bike.
