Where's a bag of roofing nails when ya needed em. shiet glad to hear it didn't turn out worse, only thing is yes I get very confrontational when this sorta stuff happens, the wiper thing seems to happen more than one would think Doh! look in your mirror ass hat. But I need to remember they out weigh me.. no matter how stupid they are. so packing might not be a bad idea. I've done the kick the door and or knock the mirror back in the day then run off. again only to be able to prtect another day.

HOllly Crapp!! That is the craziest thing I've ever heard. I've seen lots of stupid people but that just isn't right. I live in an area with lots of stupid people, but I've never seen anything like that. Glad that you were able to keep it together and stay a few notches above their level. Dumb people always like to bring you down to where they are comfortable at. That's why you have to figure out where they live and snipe them from a higher elevation.

Pepper spray, sprayed behind you and sucked into the car vents, takes at least an hour to recover.

 

Sure hope it is not you driving beside this cager when the spray is sent out. We may not have the pleasure of you company anymore.

 

This is a nice idea, you get back at them and they have no way to retaliate immediately. However, I don't think you will ever know if it actually worked, I don't think the police would send you a confirmation would they?

I haven't had people throw things at me yet, but I have had people constantly tailgate me. It pisses me off, but what I usually do is just pull to the left lane and slow way down ( if multiple lanes, if not just pull over and stop ) to let them pass. It does nothing for my anger at them, but it gets them away from me. My #1 goal is to be safe while riding, and I can't do that in a battle with a soccer mom in her SUV late to pick up her kid ( or whatever, you get the idea ).

I know most of these post are in jest and I do find humour in them, but your piece of advice about pulling over is without doubt, the absolute best way to deal with tailgaters. But the assholes who throw tings out the window, whether there is a bike behind or not, drive me round the bend. I am a small "e" environmentalist :treehugger:andlitter has no place here for that crap.

BTW, You said pull to the left and slow down or stop. That one has me stumped. Why not the right?

 

That stinks... I hate to hear about people doing stupid things like that. Glad to hear that y'all got away from the situation unharmed.
