parts for the 2005+ sprint dont seem too hard to find though... if you can afford them haha. but I can do most of the work on my own, if not I have a couple friends who I can take it too. leaves more money for parts I guess...

i must just be too old!! me personally i cant stand the way the 6th gen vfr looks or the triumph. 2 darn insectoid looking.
the 2 best looking viffers in my opinion are the 4th and 5th gens.
i cant stand the look of my hayabusa either, but own it mainly for the power it has. i spend way more time on my 5th gen then i do the busa.
regret getting rid of my 4th gen 2!!!

I have a very good friend that bought that same Triumph. This guy is highly educated, is an Engineer, is into exotic German cars, and he has NOT been pleased with the quality of the Triumph. Various mechanical issues, cheap broken plastic pieces, and just overall not the build quality of a VFR.

I had a 92 vfr750 back in the day and bought a new 2005 sprint st off the showroom floor. I guess I was trying to replicate the vfr. I rode it and enjoyed it, however the best way I can describe it is that it had no soul. I now ride a yellow 2000 vfr800 and I am at one with the motorcycle universe again.

bnick3 just nailed it: SOUL. I tell everybody that a VFR and that V-4 engine have more soul and character than ANY bike I have ever owned. That's exactly why going from a VFR, to a Ninja 1000 with the boring inline 4 engine, did not work for me and left me very unsatisfied. This Kawasaki I have is just no fun to ride....I get absolutely ZERO thrill from the thing even though it's got prolly 35 more HP than my VFR and is 13 years newer. It has no personality. But when I simply start this VFR, I get chills just from the way it sounds....I really do....I was the same way with the first VFR I had...call me a weirdo, I don't care

The triumph has often caught my eye too. But being as I wrench on my own stuff, the availability of parts would be an important consideration. I test rode the tiger 1050 and absolutly loves it.
