I almost curse Honda for making such a great all-round bike. I can't in any realm of logic find a justification to get rid of my 99. I know I'll buy another mc, but ol' Raza is part of the family and does so much especially considering she's a 1999 that has over 73K miles on her, cost me only $1900 and still is a freaking hoot to ride.

Wow that's a lot of miles! How many were on it when you got it? Nice to know our bikes are built to last...although I suppose the jury is still out on the 8th gens.

I bought it in April 2016 worth 66,000 something. She just keeps moving along.

So far my 2014 is proving to be more reliable than my previous VFR's with cheaper maintenance costs to boot! Over 50k miles and going great!!!

I agree with the article posted by the OP - I've had a few of the bikes on that list, yet keep coming back to the VFR! (Although those K-Series Bimmers look mighty enticing!)

Worth 66,000? I'd be lucky to get 6,600 for mine! :glee:

That is very reassuring to hear how reliable your 8th gen has been. You probably have the highest mileage 8th gen with over 50k miles already!

Yeah, if you're gonna do that comparison with the price tag restriction, it's not a contest. If you want an ST on a budget, nothing on Earth can even come remotely close to what you can get when you spend 4 grand on a used 6th gen. Hell, my beloved 6th gen with all it's farkles is probably only worth that much, and what a bike!
