sorry, I'll go lay back by my dish :pout:

I had a 250 yamaha enduro with a rear tire go flat on me while riding on the road. Wierd feeling if you've never experianced it before. I'm sure you'll know it next time should you pick up a nail or something on the road.

ANYONE who thinks i am blaming TOE CUTTER for anything (other than being a reckless golf cart driver after dark) didn't see the deeper question here. The discussion is about shops in general, not Toe's shop.

When i worked as a service manager ( briefly !!!!) i asked all the techs to always check tyre pressures before releasing the bike as "customer service"; hell, it takes only a minute. A few times the rider said his bike felt better, and that was reward enougth for the time it took.

You aware riders who don't want anyone jacking about with your pressures are NOT what i'm thinking about here; instead, it's the guy who's riding on seriously, dangerously underinflated tyres maybe 10 psi or more low.

A brief test ride( shop should be insured) can reveal many problems to a tech that the bike's owner is unaware of, and lead to better safety for the rider as well as higher profits to the shop.

maybe you kinda missed it squirrel...its not a shop...its a garage at his house that he drinks beer and parks his bikes in..as well as an old kick ass chevy..... and he helps people with their bikes that's it
    "
TOE is just about the last man on this site i'd dare criticize because his generosity to other riders and his comprehensive knowledge of our bikes, of all generations, is legendary, and he has my total respect....however."

sounds like a criticism to me and you finish with

"in this case it was a simple detail that was overlooked.

1.This is Cunda's issue. Every rider should check out their bike. He had a Duh moment and that he should have checked the pressure
    2. Not kissing Toe's ass for any amount of money .. Never know where it has been.
    3. If we get too far into this, people will stop helping fellow VFRW's
    4. I have never ever once had a shop car or bike set my tire pressure correct. I have always brought my Bike / car home and checked my pressure with a dial guage and set my pressure.

Cunda also knows we all like him here. So does Toe.

Thanks to Toe for helping a feller out ... Thanks pal

...and with that the Krispy one moves to the head of the queue but not before reading and making a small attempt to understand what is being discussed.

I was just thinkin....I had my bike over at TOES and the tire pressure was a little low.... I wonder if there is a correlation between the two? I bet its that rascally yellow lab ..she did learn how to escape the fence and was a little pissed that she got caught.....

    Squirrel,

I totally understood what you were saying and knew that you weren't insinuating anything about Toe Cutter. Your first post was pretty clear I thought in starting a sub topic of what we consider normal practice when one takes one's bike to a dealer. And most (if not all) of us knew that Toe was just a nice guy and not a dealer/pro bike mech...

Just chalk it up to winter oversensitivity.
