Bear, since we've talked, isn't Putnam Motorcycle Course pretty close? Thus, no reason to use this public road as a race track?

Putnam gets a lot of use. But that isn't going to keep people from behaving badly on any really tasty loops.

Interesting that there are over 400k views of the BillyBob roadrage video..... I was wondering if it was 40,000 bikers watching it 100 times.

This business, however was about someone deciding they had had enough and was taking the low road to solving it.

People can make the argument that citizens shouldnt do such things, but being the people we are, with all the background and baggage that comes with it, Im not really surprised at a reaction like BillyBob's.

I suppose some of what Im getting at is the economic concept of "externality" which means that behaviors have a price, and if the price paid for your behavior is forced unwillingly upon someone else, you have achieved externality. Most times this concept goes completely unnoticed by the originator of the behavior. And it can accumulate. In this case many sportbikers believing they were only out having fun have created two external consequences. They have now created a hot spot with law enforcement and pissed off the locals.....Billybob is just the only person that took action, and now he's probably going to jail. If you really think about it, BillyBob is now paying the price for sportbikers hammering that loop of public road. The scary part is the lead biker nearly paid for it with his life or a lengthy hospital stay after someone like our beloved Drewl saved his life.

What the smart rider , and by that I mean VFR riders heeeheee, does is..........he monitors his behavior to know when he wont exacerbate an already bad situation.......in order to do that he has to both know where and when to misbehave. Im not even giving any time to the thought that one should behave all the time, its not in my DNA and its not in yours and you know it.
