^^^ take before and after photos, you'll be proud of your work, but it does take alot of time. :Hat:

best to remove rad for access to front and back. do the front of the oil cooler too if fins are mangled.

image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg These are for Capt80s. Looks like shortening the caliper support arm bolt and reducing the sprocket carrier bolt heads as well. Spacers from Yuzon are perfect.

The studs on the hub are fine. It looks exactly like mine. There are no clearance issues, I have a couple thousand miles on mine. There's no way for them to get any closer. I doubt you are running a chain so short the studs will interfere with swingarm where it's not relieved.

But whatever makes you more comfortable.

The rear caliper bolt shouldn't be interfering with the swingarm. Hmmm.

I think when you install the chain and put proper tension the bracket should be fine.

But I suppose it may depend on your gearing too, where the wheel ends up. If it turns out you need to mod a bracket, I'll give you another one to have sectioned.

The axle on mine is back beyond the halfway point in the adjustment range, so I didn't foresee any fitment issues. Almost 2/3 back.

Now that you mention chain length that changes everything. I set the axle on “new” line. 4/10 on the tightest scale. When I put the chain on maybe it will sit further back at 110 links naturally. The axle is about 1/3 towards tight. Once the axle moves back indeed the sprocket bolts should clear and the rear caliper will rotate away from the swing arm. image.jpg I just moved back 1 click on scale and everything misses with axle exactly 1/2 of its positioning.[/ATTACH]Since I am doing custom work I might as well run where I need to rather than follow Hondas sticker. Lol

Other side with axle at 5/10. image.jpg

Looks like I am good once I shorten the caliper support bracket bolt so it misses the rotor.

    Sweet!

Yeah you might have to pull the caliper before sliding the wheel forward to remove the chain during maintenance. No biggie.

Offer stands for a free arm to have modded for the future.while you use this setup.

Hey... I found some heavy duty shrink tubing that has a 3:1 shrink ratio. You can get it over a banjo and it will still shrink down to the line diameter. Nice mod for yellowed / stained coverings.

And then put a clamp in the threaded hole in the brake torque arm to hold it away from the tire.

Do you have a source and part number? We have a ton of heat shrink at my work, so I will dig around and see what I can find. Great idea...as usual

    Nice bike!
Are you sure with the direction of the rear tire?

Holly bat shit Tom. You are 100% correct. Every time I walk by the tire I look, but I was not sure what was bugging me. Time to take it back to Cycle Gear. How hard is it to mount correctly people? Hard to find good help.

    Nice catch, thanks dude!!

I get it thru Amazon. It's a marine grade shrink tube for wiring that has an adhesive inside that activates and seals for corrosion. I've used it many times and it's great. Pretty sure I got the 3/4". You have to use the heat gun on high and take your time working from the center out.

    https://www.amazon.com/XHF-Inch-19m...&sprefix=3+1+shrink+tubing+3/4,aps,119&sr=8-2

I did the new lines on the ST1100 with it to hide them a little for a more subdued look.

Looks good. what are all of your toggles on your ST? extra lighting and such? I could use some of those. Amazon as well I suspect? I took my ST on a 60 miles journey yesterday and it was a hoot, except for my windscreen. I need to remove it. It was 93 out and 98 behind the screen. :(
