The strange VFR, a really odd Bike!

the Castrol RT 1qt bottles, this is not the problem-manual use 3.3 qts. I put in 3.2 qts. My floor is not level and to drain oil, it should have been on side stand.

 

drop the biatch on her side and drain it out the fill hole ya moron

 

That's an easy fix. Move the marks on the sight glass up one inch.

I learned a new trick to get the last bit of oil from the butcher, he says run the bike for 10 secs with no oil and the drain plug and oil filter off-that will force all oil out. I don't really think this is a good idea. And he also told me a story of jap bike lasting 30min running wide open till it blew up with no oil at a Harley event. I said the Harley riders must have been pissed off the jap bike lasted so long because a Harley would have lasted like 5 minutes:madgrin: I fix my bike by just taking a little oil out-no big deal.

Just full that fucker right up past the top of the site glass and ride the bitch long and hard. It is good for the bike. Drain and refill to the top of the filler cap with extra virgin olive oil and repeat.

I guess that might be a good idea if you ride 3,000 miles at a time, I have wondered if perhaps the marks on the glass was off. I know stunt riders usually add a extra qt because of wheedles starve engines, but a little over might be better when you first start up a engine. This is a strange bike-runs very hot and must be very hard on engine oil.
