My Ferry was crammed with bikes - and as you can see it was a beautiful calm and sunny crossing.

Its off to the south of the island for the Southern 100s today.

however, Having an 'interesting day'. Johns old jalopy meant that I had to take it apart outside the B&B at 8am this morning. It looks as if the ferry journey may have caused the idle screw adjuster to misbehave (bike was idling at 3000rpm) - moving it either way MADE NO DIFFERENCE to the RPMS... So off with the side panel, tank, airbox to ck it... The bracket had broken holding the adjuster, but the adjuster was still moving the slides - Good....
So wound it all the way off, then back on + 3 turns, started up, 1400rpms & put bike back together...lol

nope - bypassed the fan thermo switch with a manual button... Had to rip apart one of his switches but its about keeping it working till he gets back to mine - then we can deal with it properly.

Well DivingPete and SkiMad have departed the Isle of Man, was great to meet you both and a pleasure to show you around the Island yesterday. From visiting various scenic viewpoints, the motor museum, TT Grandstand and of course riding the mountain course.
There'll be some great pics to follow from Pete I'm sure, but here's just a couple from my phone

Thanks for your time and island insider knowledge Andy!

We had a great time, and have now gone our separate ways. So how do you sum-up this amazing island? In short the folks here really respect bikers and it shows in so many ways as they put up with immense disruption throughout the summer months.

Most of you will have heard of the TT - but with all the preparation time and post event clear up, it means that roads across the island through much of May and June are affected. And even in July there is no speed limit on the road over the Mountain - so the VFRs just had to do a circuit. But there is also disruption caused by the classic TT in August/September and the huge Jurby festival on the old Jurby Aerodrome at the end of August and the Southern 100 races in Castletown in mid July which entails closing 4 major roads in the centre of town every year.

All these amazing events happens every year, and every year the events get bigger and better, so if you EVER get the chance to visit the Island GO and definitely bring a motorbike!

Here are just a few of many hundreds of photos..

VFRs out and about on the island (and there are a lot of VFRs on the Island!).

Manx Motor Museum near Jurby Aerodrome - has an amazing collection and seems quite popular with VFR owners

(And yes they had a special Joey Dunlop exhibition when we visited and those are the real TT Trophies!)

So Sunday has arrived and its time to leave the Island - and I promise it will not be so long before I am back again.

By 06.00 I joined the long line of bikes ready to board the SeaCat ferry from Douglas to Belfast in Northern Ireland. A final view of the Island from the ferry produced this wonderful UFO picture - but sadly those saucers over the Isle of Man are just a reflection in the window of the ferry cabin lighting.

2 hours later and the SatNav has found a great way to head south on the some wonderful minor roads - some sections were lined with hedgerows which could easily count as a work of art. My stop for the night is Tullamore a small town in the centre of the Republic of Ireland, where they seem to have an unusual solution to problem drinking..

I am doing my bit helping the Guinness quality control team - it looks like Ireland is going to be even more fun.
