Pliskin - does the saddle bag lie right on the 2bros exhaust? If so does this bag stick out further than the other one? I assume with the heat shield the bag is not melted. How much heat is transferred to the bag?

I'm looking at purchasing the NR CL-950 Deluxe and the heat shield. See below.

Sinc - no pictures for you at the moment, but to answer: No, it actually doesn't sit on the exhaust. If I had to guess, I'd say there's about an inch of clearance between the bottom inside of the bag and the top of the exhaust.

The heat shield is the same thickness as the standard shield that comes with the bag - just a different material. So there is no difference in how far out the bags stick.

Maybe it doesn't sit on the exhaust because I keep the straps pretty tight. In my bad picture above, you can see the 2 main straps that run under the Corbin. These are pretty sturdy, about 2 or 3 inches wide, Velcro. I can get them under my seat and lock the seat down with no issues.

I guess its possible that with loose straps or if you had something bulky and heavy in there there (a bottle of soda for example), then maybe it would end up hitting the exhaust?

To be honest, I could probably even get by without the heat shield, but nice to know I have it.

As far as heat transfer goes - I'd say its pretty minimal, but again, I'm not actually resting the bag on the pipe.

I'm very happy with my chase harper. it's a local company and they have a lifetime warranty on defects. they also had a special at moto-gp last year so they gave me half off with trade of my old scuffed up bag.
