I have never quite figured out why people want to see what you are doing, but then when they do, they ask a question like "Why are you _ _ _ _ _ _ _?". I guess it's more than most folks can wrap their heads around.....most likely from the money and effort output required.

Thanks for the nice comment, much appreciated!

    Thanks, D-man!!!!

I learned the laser trick from drilling the fairings for frame slider installation......you pin point the laser on the spot where the hole has to align, then you put the part back on and the dot is exactly where the hole needs to be. For this, it was more to verify that when I got the mount back, I would be guaranteed that the design was correct and that it would be a simple matter to drill the holes...Didn't want it to end up being unusable after a lot of work...my carbon guy would ask some difficult questions....

BTW, for anybody interested in an absolutely gorgeous RC30, PM me and I can get you connected with the seller...he is asking $25k. Serious inquiries only, thanks. I am thinking about it....but $25k is just bit out of my range of sanity right now.

Before canonnizing Norcalboy for putting megabucks into a POS, it is interesting to view his take on others that build bikes:

"Saw the bikes at the Laguna MotoGP...I wasn't very impressed. These types of projects rarely gain traction and it's never fun to be part of an owners club where the company bought the farm a couple years after spending that kind of money. Now you can go on and on about supporting American companies at all costs, Erik Buell, Michael Czysz, blah, blah, blah. These folks didn't strike me as being in the same zip code as these guys. I wish them luck, hopefully they will still be in business 5 years from now."

Maybe if Norcalboy has any money left over he can start his own fan club, paying people to join.

What does his opinion of Motus (from 4 years ago) have to do with anything?

Currently there are three pages of posts relating to the Motus. I am certain you can find what you are seeking there. Be sure to read all three pages since near the endpoint there are some current posts relating to the bike. Contained within the body is the direct quote by Norcalboy aka St. Asshole.

Maybe as a rebuttal Norcalboy can take on some of the other builders too to secure his place in the fundament.

Not to worry, There are dozens of builders riders and collectors that don't come up to the standards of St. Asshole, Patron Saint of the Irritable.

It gives me an immense amount of satisfaction that I bother you so much. The fact that you have reached the point of name calling is so much win!

I mentioned in a previous post that the gearing was 15/42, it is now 14/42, but I also have a 13 that could make it 13/42. I have three sprockets for the rear, 42, 44, and 46. With the current chain length you could potentially run a combination of these sprockets without too much monkeying around......the 15/42 does require a different linkage bolt without the lower chain roller, but they will all work.

Sorry I missed that. Probably was looking at the photos. lol What top speed do you think you can get out of it geared for that? A couple of guys that run at a local Fl track on DRZ 400's they have tricked out hit the middle teens on the straights. They rail the corners.
