    9/12 ride

Well all turned out to be a good day, the rain tried to break us but we still managed to tap the top of Mt. Greylock in light rain.
Funny how droping down the other side of the mountain gave us sunshine intill we hit the pike.

bbwong, GREAT to meet you bro. you get the iron arse award for sure :first:, I will let you know when I head into NJ to see my sis and we will ride again. ( or any time after work LOL )

Butzip you need to paint your bike red, it is all alone in a sea of red.

Kobe your new name is MR. 90mph ++ ROFL

I'm telling you red is faster viffer 2003

really was not bad, rode all day and gloves were just damp by the time I got home. Going down the back side of Greylock was the best had sunshine untill mass pike around Westfield.

next weekend I'm booked but maybe the following weekend.
We need to get some action pics on the next ride.

Looks and sounds like you guys had a nice time. I really wanted to make this one, and it would have been nice to keep Steve/bbwong some company coming from NJ. Good man Steve for making that trek!

I'll be keeping an eye out for the next ride. I'm gonna bring a yellow one to that red party!

join in next time for sure man - Peter won't be odd man out without the red bike

We always end up having a good time. Even in the rain...

02 - you're right, going down the other side of Greylock was a good idea - nice and dry. For a little while anyway!

I'm not gonna lie, the ride up sucked the big one. I thought about turning around when I got to the GWB but figured I was already pot committed and kinda past the point of no return - I'd have to cross the bridge at that point to turn back around. But then I figured it couldn't have gotten much worse.

On the other hand, the ride home was worth the crap weather on the way up. Plus like NJ, there are a great bunch of VFR brothers in the CT/MA area. Nice roads too - at least when dry!

My gloves were soaked when I got to my sister's and still damp when i got back to NJ. My jacket was still damp in the morning too. There was a little puddle under where I hung my stuff out to dry. I did have a backup pair of gloves so all was good. I need better rain gear. Going to get me a Tim/Kobe camping gear special for next time. And do the gorilla glue the windshield wiper to back of the glove trick.

Yes it seems you got all the rain going back from rt 2, I got home and checked the radar and it was all rain from where you left us thru Greenfield into CT.

Hope the next ride the weather will be better for you.
hope you had a good time anyway.
oh and try lowering tire pressure 34 front and 38 rear for dry 2 psi lower then that for wet weather I think you will find a little more traction.

A pleasure to meet and ride w/ you.

I was thinking about lowering the pressures at the gas station where I left you guys on Rt. 2. Thought about it all the way to Springfield when the rain stopped and the roads dried out. Sometimes I think too much. I just gotta do sometimes.

And I had an excellent time. I'm almost always up for an adventure!

I got home and checked my pressure when tires were cold again and i was running 32 psi front and 34 psi rear first time in wet weather w/ the M-3's but they worked great in the rain.

I dont know if you fellas washed your bikes yet but it took awhile to get the grime off, esp. the wheels and exhaust.

As for the rain, oh well. You have riders in the Pac NW, UK, India, Asia who ride in the rain on frequent basis. Besides, it makes you a better rider.

    Unitl next time~

Ditto that Mr 90mph (nice update there lol), i spent a couple hours going over my bike to get all the road crap off it. I hate it when it's dirty, she seems to give me the evil eye if I don't give her a bath and get her waxed up
