Looking for a video and/or instructions on how to disassemble the start switch.
I can start the bike and pull the button out with my index finger, but need to take it apart, inspect it and clean it.
Tried loosening the throttle cables, but seems it's too short to take out. Will be searching on youtube and other places, but perhaps someone can link me up sooner. Thank you.

Definitely needs to be off the bike, there are tiny balls and springs that could pop out.

You need to ask AM, think she just had it all apart, IDK for sure, but sounds familiar

I rebuilt my switch on the '83 last year, otherwise you have replace the whole assembly.

Leave it up to me to mess things up. I took the bars off the forks, slid the switch off the bars and gave it a good cleaning. For the life of me, I was not able to take all the wires off the casing, and now my hazard blinkers don't work.

That's exactly what I intended to do, only I wasn't able to figure out how to take it all apart.
