I just read that if your coils are f"d that can also eat your spark plugs pretty quick. hmmmmm....

despite mine testing ok. (one primary was slightly over spec at 4.0. range is 2.9-3.6), maybe I should be prepared to buy a new set of Dynatek coils and wires.

while I wait for parts, decal time.

Still messing around with alignment of decals on the lowers. the generic PEPSI kit is a PITA. the side Red and Blue panels are not as wide as Id like.

Decals time is my favourite part of the job, so you have to suffer through more pics. LOL.

Still need a "GSXR 750" decal and a heritage "R" hyper sports logo for the tail /side panels

    Thank Capn'

Carb Kit on the way and new coils going in (Dynatek mini 3.0 Ohm) along with 8mm Graphite HT wires and new plug boots.

    Hopefully that sorts it out.

    Thanks Jim.

I wish the right side colour panels on the big Pepsi Logos were the lighter blue, but its a generic Kit, and im building to a budget, so you have to compromise now and then.

Overall im very pleased with the look.

Be even more happy once I get her running properly.

I had an 88 RGV250 gamma, also had the OEM Pepsi Bodywork for it too. Nut and bolt resto, engine rebuilt top to bottom and I Foolishly sold it. It was stunning and ultra rare, even the colour was the rarest scheme in 88. in 1988 the Vj21 model J was only sold in Japan, no where else, and had features that were lost in 1989. a real unicorn. can you say "Straycat's a dumb ass"

    I'm highly offended.

    ;)

took me a while to restore that one, especially getting the right crank parts. Suzuki put 2 different crank shafts in the 88 RGV.

Sold it back to the guy I bought it from, along with the RG250 WW I bought off him and restored.

There's a pretty ROUGH RG500 WW that kicks around Edmonds every now and then. I hung outside the hardware store for a bit, but he didn't come out. I actually think he doesn't live far from me, I kept hearing somebody "tuning" a mutli cyl 2 stroke that wasn't a snow machine last Summer while painting. I even rode around the hood in that direction looking for an open garage door.
