    On the same nerve, has anyone welded the cracks on these starter housings ? I have two cracks on mine and locally sourced one costs around $300 + AUD. Rare as hens teeth finding a used one.
    I'm thinking getting a competent TIG welder grinding small V grooves and pulsing in some TIG wire. It will cost me less than half the price and might turn out a permanent repair. I might also consider putting a band around it for added strength. Anyone ?
