    IDC what Honda or anyone says any motorcycle named the 'INTERCEPTOR' is not a damn touring bike. Its a sports/streets bike. Period.

    The term "HERO" sometimes gets used too often, but thank you for having the courage to say this. Finally somebody did, lack of context be damned.

    I will hug my wife when I get home, peak into the garage to give a wink, and then sleep very peacefully tonight.

    Technically you are correct. It is not a "damn touring" bike. It is a "sports tourer", and one of the finest ever made. I've ridden VFRs back and forth Pacific/Atlantic numerous times. I ran into a fella from another country to the north riding thousands of miles from home on a 5th Gen with a billion miles on the odometer.

    If you can't do the miles fine, but it's not the bike.
