SoCal Meet, Greet, N' Eat! Saturday, October 25th

OMG how much fun we all had haha XD I'll have to post the pictures we took too! It was great to put a face to everyone's screen name!!!! I have to admit that was the first time my retro Viffer has been out for a play run so I'm really glad we were able to pull ourselves out of the water on the 15!!!! Thank you again Jason for coming and personally saving our asses lol I owe you a push!!! haha We should all meet up again soon this was a very rewarding VFR meet!!!

 

I say a SD meet would be a good idea, maybe doing a Palomar/Borrego run! I know a few OC riders that frequent that area, wink, wink, nudge, nudge.

 

I second that, I would love to go back to Borrego Springs, it's a nice ride. Me and Len enjoyed meeting everyone. I hope we do this again before my days off change January.

 

I had a great time meeting all of you! Thanks Jason for putting this together. The only thing I wish would have been different would have been Bee getting a few pics of Jason push starting her bike! This was my first time riding with other VFRs and having them be Jason, John, Dylan, Bee and Clinton was fantastic. Another first for me was the Ortega Highway. There were times when traffic slowed us down and I was able to take in the scenery. What a great road with the hills all around and the lake down below. I'm looking forward to riding it again. But before that, I'm in for a San Diego ride including Palomar Mt. and Anza Borrego! My wife said she wants to go on the next one.

Here are a few pics I took. In the foreground is Derstuka's fifth gen, followed by Outboard John's sixth gen and then mine. This was at the park and ride lot at Deer Springs Rd and I-15. I was happy to hear that Bee and Dylan would be joining us and within a few minutes they showed up on that sweet 750!





Here they are, minus John's, as we waited outside Slater's. John, of course, showed up soon after. His is the other RWB only nicer. Better seat, better exhaust, better bars ... the list goes on. We had spotted CaFox and Leonard's 1200's parked in the shade but no sign of them. There was a UFC gym in the mall and I suspected they were in there, choking people out to work up an appetite. Clinton's 8th gen is really nice. The white has a metallic shimmer to it that just isn't captured in photos.




It was fun sitting at the kid's table with Roy (Duccman), Darryl (OOTV) and Katie (Mrs. OOTV). My burger was awesome - I named it "The Viffer" and it consisted of a beef patty with ghost chili jack cheese, jalapenos, tomatoes, arugula and aioli sauce on white brioche. I wish I could have stayed longer and spoken to more of you. It was a great turnout and I understand most of So Cal was represented with riders from San Diego, Riverside, Orange and Los Angeles counties. Did we have Ventura or Imperial in the house? Of course, Bweiss took it to another level coming down from Sacramento!

Have met a grand total of 4 people on this forum and they rock, looking forward to meet a whole bunch more.
