Thanks for sharing 01 Nice to see what the neighborhood is like.. also like that camera position. Who was that in front of you? I'm still envious.

I think riprocop is directly in front of me, not 100% positive to be honest. I just remember thinking the bike sounded good as he rolled on coming out of all those turns.

That has to be the best camera position by far-- my favorite seeing the corner speed and line coming out of each turn--- AND of course the exhaust --- orgasmic I must say-- pretty sure it's a guy thing---
Dang gumit, can't keep missing out on these rides

There's a new camera in development that has a built in gyroscope, similar to what they use in MotoGP. They are in the "fund me" stage but after the Skully debacle, I'm reluctant to be an early adopter! If/when it comes out I may look into it. They won't be cheap but then again neither is the GoPro and it really isn't that great of a camera IMO. The one I have on the back is from a company called Innov, they make quite a few different models and cost less than $100!

I went online the other day to grab another one for the rear of the 6 Gen and they were doing a flash sale for $36 each! I grabbed two and with my credit I had for another camera that they ran out of stock on, cost me $56 for both of them! The only downside with the Innov is that it can only take a 32GB micro SD card so it is limited to how much video it can record. However, all of the rides I've done so far have been able to fit on one card. In the GoPro I have 200GB SD card so I'd have to riding for quite a long time to fill it up!

Please send a link where I can purchase the Innov and the model you have.
The quality in my opinion is outstanding.
    Thanks D

So the maker's website is this: Innovv

The place I bought it is here: Gearbest

Note that the Gearbest site is in China and it can take a while to get your shipment. But they also fluctuate on prices, sometimes the same camera can be a little more than it was a week before but they do have a plethora of camera choices, you're bound to find something affordable! For some reason the Innovv appealed to me so I went that route. One other small concern with the Innovv, is unlike the GoPro there is no external case that can protect the lens, so that may change where you mount the camera.

I bought this one recently for my 6 Gen. It's decent as well but I found that the mount it comes with is a little "loose" and it was too jittery to be useful BUT I found a cool Ram Mount that fits it perfectly and now I have a solid mount for it. Similar to Innovv issue, there is no external case for it so I have it mounted behind my windshield and it works fine.

Here's a video sample of what this camera looks like behind the shield. Not sure about the audio but this is for my commuting so not overly concerned with that.

My only knock on the Innovv is that the temperature is a little on the cool side. This could probably be fixed in post, but the GoPro is a little more natural straight out of the camera. The IQ looks pretty good though.

There's actually an app that allows you to change the settings I just never messed with them.

These are the only ones I messed with.

Thanks for posting those riprocop, I'm going to be super busy for the next few weeks so I may not be able to edit any more videos for a while. In regards to the link you sent me, I cannot download from there, only stream, but it looks like you were able to do what you needed.

No problem on your end. Most of your videos will be from the front :distracted::distracted::distracted: My editing skills need a little more polishing. In due time with more rides. I should be producing some nice videos, and maybe just maybe I might be able to keep up. :grief:
