Do you work as a software engineer or work closely with them? lol. Also, not to forget the detailed documentation of everything.
I see where this comes from. :beguiled:

After I got out of the hospital I saw angels dancing in a bush. Damn that was some good stuff.

The only time I go out this year without lid/jacket, it rains. Then hails.

yeah, lesson learned. Wasn't far from home, but several stop lights between there and home. that hurt, but no road rash. Tucked the best I could, but stopping, ugh.

nothing like what else went on here. No cars, no broken/sore/bruised anything. Everybody walked or limped away, always a good thing.

Remember back in the eighties when at Laguna you could ride almost anywhere around the track with no helmet...
Rode my bike today with out a jacket, boots or skid lid..... next door to find a short in my Givi box, felt oddly strange...and no ear plugs...felt naked

Close enough for yes to all three. I worked as an electrical engineer. Today I am a software developer. Two of my best friends and business partners have been programming for 30 years, in dozens of different languages and systems. One is a certified genius who makes my want for detail look like playing in the mud.

Try not to repeat the misnomer "software engineer." While this is hotly contested, an engineer will tell you that the "engineer" is a state certification, and that a software developer calling themselves an "engineer" (or "architect") is acting fraudulently.

Every last procedure I have created is in a Word document, written in great detail. The frustrating thing? This workforce (old or young) wants to be spoon fed everything like little babies. People passively aggressively refuse to take my advice on, "Go read the library I created, it tells you everything", and instead come interrupt me, and I have to demonstrate every simple thing. It is difficult to move onto a new role as no one wants to take over the entire system and get promoted themselves, even though I wrote up everything they need to know in life.

Imagine if you told someone to remove the oil drain plug and they asked you, "How shall I remove the oil drain plug?" That is what I hear many days.

Sounds similar to my accident on ACH a few years back. Lots of gravel both ways up until Newcombs ranch.
    Glad he walked away.

It's funny what you get accustomed to wearing. The other day I ran out of the house and I forgot my knee armor, boy did I feel uncomfortable! I had all my other gear on like I usually do but when trying to get out of the house to make a meeting on time, I just forgot to grab my knee armor. My normal ritual is to get all my gear out the night before but I got lazy and figured I get everything ready in the morning...went back to getting things ready the night before!

Google Guy Martin's crash at UlsterGP, then read this:https://www.facebook.com/GuyMartinRacing/posts/10153243506664023

    Crash video link: https://youtu.be/jxdm0_urUjw

Obviously he was wearing top of the line stuff, but this shows you what gear can do for you. 5 years ago, he would have been dead.

I saw that crash right after it happened, very fast nasty crash. I think the bike hitting him is what broke his back. The honeycomb aluminum core back protector is interesting, might reexamine the one I'm currently using.

I had an off with my gear on around 2009 September and i believe it would have been worst without the gear. Crushed left shoulder and snapped Tib&Fib on my left side. Three months after the accident i was riding again on a NC30.
The Blade was only 2 and a half weeks old or shall i say brand new. Went into the corner at 160kh/h which is what ive done many times before but i guess ill never buy Dunlop tyres again in my life.

Anyway my wife deserves a medal for sticking with me all these years.

First photo is where i went underneath the barrier. Second photo is my wife standing next to me and the bike and lastly well, you see what i mean.
