    Next... The RC26.

    PXL_20241106_025141450.jpg

Not a lot of miles this Summer either. Pretty sure the clutch master randomly "leaks" around the piston, as I have found a single drop of brake fluid a couple times on the shop floor under that area. What is bizarre, is that I have never found a drip hanging from the master or lever and it has never dripped on body work or the fuse box. So.... gonna rebuild and monitor.

    PXL_20241107_140748144.jpg

The RC26 is going to get some changes this Winter as well. F3 rims, front and rear, floating rotors. All new Nissin calipers front and rear. F3 fork lowers and fender on RC36 tubes and internals. Was going to be full F3, but I am working on trying to soak/coax the rebound adjusters into movement.

The pieces that come off are going somewhere deserving. More on that later.

Just "deserving", not neccesarily "more deserving". My vision for the RC26 can be a little closer with some "racier" F3 bits. The current set-up has great pieces that work really f-ing good and are a complete, tested, proven package that can be moved and bolted on. Instant upgrade kit.

    1990 NS50F.

    PXL_20241109_010755076.jpg

Stupid amount of fun. Will do over 60mph. I had the tank painted to eliminate the pink and sea-foam green that was clear coated. Yes, yes... I know... "How could you do that?" Easily. Has Hondaline Upper Cowl, Radiator Cowl, Lower Cowl and Tachometer Kit. I have the Hondaline Engine Guards new in box.

My custom tucked taillight sourced from a Honda scooter.

    PXL_20241109_011107233.jpg

    Handy-dandy trunk compartment.

    PXL_20241109_012719004.jpg

Custom front disc brake with parts sourced from the Honda MB5. Had two "rings" machined to replicate the spoke attachment points of the original drum and bolted those to the MB5 Comstar hub with disc. Forks had the lugs (undrilled) and I had the caliper mount machined from my drawing.

    PXL_20241109_012203585.jpg

    PXL_20241109_011122535.jpg

Had to relocate the tach a bit to make room for the master cylinder.

    PXL_20241109_012227843.jpg

It handles really good and if I'm able to keep my momentum up on a tight, flowing road it's surprisingly fast.

Dry weight of around 200. Not ultra-light by any means, but still a very fun package.

1985 VF1000R. Also stupid fun. I have ridden the NS50F to work one day and this VF1000R the next. That is an odd sensation. Rode this a fair amount this Summer and was kinda blown away by it. I rode the same roads after riding the RC26 and the 92 VFR and it just felt "larger", not necessarily heavier or slower thru the same corner combinations. I am almost nervous to ride this bike, but it's too cool and fun and I get over it.

Pulls HARD. DMR modified CBR600F3 shock, RT Cartridge Emulators and Springs in front.

And here's the lucky recipient that the RC26 is going to gift an upgrade. The Rain / Guest bike, 1986 VFR750F. Got some miles this year as a guest bike, not many. I rode it a couple times too when there was a threat of rain.

    PXL_20241109_031901452.jpg

The front tire is now pretty much done, the rear is aging out, the brake discs/pads are also at the end of their life. It's a good time.

Front end off of the RC26 into 1988 VFR lower triple clamp and RC36 upper. 1988 VFR Fuse Box to mount down inside the upper cowl. Rear F2 wheel with likely a 929 rear brake setup. Fox Twin Clicker out being rebuilt already. Bars to be determined, maybe some Telefix or VF1000R. Or maybe tried and true CBR600F2/3.

Yoshimura connecting pipes and cans grafted onto the stock muffler connectors to retain the cross-over. These stock mufflers came off the 86 VFR700FII and it will be a relief to get them off.

Alright, the NS50F might be my favorite bike of yours. That thing looks like an absolute riot, and you have it astonishingly clean!

This one does get ridden in the Winter, but I drained the carbs and kicked it thru anyway. It had already been a couple months since the last time I rode it.

It needs the petcock rebuilt and new chain / sprockets. I have them already, just need to get it in the queue. Neither is terrible but the petcock is gonna fuck me one of these days.

Trunk is a Hondaline Scooter unit.

Wouldn't that be because it *is* substantially larger? Or did I misunderstand?
