I have learned to love this bike. It took a while to get used to, but the more i rode it, the more the throttle and brakes smoothed out. It took much more than 150 miles to get to this point.

    1. At slow speed i only use the rear pedal, helps a whole lot. But I also have the advantage of being 6'4" and 220 lbs so I can manhandle the bike and make it lean to the left for my free foot.

    2. Think of applying the throttle as more of putting pressure on the grip rather than twisting it. Either that, or practice feathering the clutch. Find the best combo of light pressure and clutch for you.

All in all, you need to learn how to ride the bike. I know what you're going thru, I came from riding a carburated cruiser (Shadow 750 ACE). It felt like i was on a motorcycle for the first time again.

Don't give up!!! It gets better, then you will discover all of what the VFR truly has to offer!

I wish i could answer your question, but the DB came with the bike so as far as my opinion, I don't mind it, but I have nothing to base that on cause i've never used a standard screen. With that said, I'm 6'4" and I get plenty of clean air, but if i let myself slouch about 2 inches more, i get all kinds of turbulence. Again, i cannot say with certainty that its because of the DB, but an educated guess would say it is.

As for the brand, I also dont know. I've taken it off several times and have not noticed a brand mark anywhere on it. Probably a flea-bay special, but it works.

If anyone wants to send me a standard screen, i'd be more than happy to do a back to back comparison!:thumb:
