Pretty awesome advice. I was actually gonna start at 2nd to 1st. I am not advanced enough to think about this technique in cornering, cos I don have a cornering technique yet :p hence superbike school this summer. My concern is rev matching when coming towards a stop sign or red light. So yes, will try as you say.

Empty road 4th at 45 down to 3rd. Plus the techniques above.

There are definately valid uses for a slipper type clutch in a street application, however, the cost, maintenance and setup of the device is limiting for most riders. I personally wouldn't be too quick to call bs and chock the application of a slipper clutch as a bandaid for poor technique. Of course that does take away the opportunity to espouse ones assumed shifting prowess.

I would have loved to have had one on my R6 as I was always chatering the rear..but the VFR has not chatered once even when I was pushing way too hard...who knows why?? Maybe its the increased engine braking with the V4 works with my ride style..I dont know but its interesting that someone is looking for a slipper for the VFR (5th gen) when I was impressed with the fact I didnt need it...Just goes to show ride style I guess, or maybe I dont ride as hard...ethierway Im just wanted to be apart of the conversation!!!
