Just roadtested the bike. Notchy gear change up and down dct. Fr l/h fork seal blown. Corrosion every where. Panniers cracked. Such a shame.

Looks like it was stored long time and transported on a trailer quite a bit. Do not despair: there are others... Why DCT anyway?

Found out it was part of a divorce sale. Left outside under a cover. Sad

Likewise I'm looking at a VFR 1200 for the eventual replacement for my ST1300. Without a doubt the ST is a mile eating monster and it's a marvelous machine, but I'm not doing multi-day touring trips; so that capability is essentially redundant. A 400 - 500 mile day in the saddle is my limit. Plus, while she's been fabulous for the past 8 year and never let me down, I've suddenly developed a wandering eye and IMHO the 7th gen is some serious eye candy. Would love to find a 13, as once you've gone Black there's usually no going back, but I've noticed that 12s and 13s have become like rocking horse shite in the market place. Loads of 10s though at amazing prices, so I may have to learn to love a red one. Never mind.

Hmm - So exactly what price were they looking for a tatty example needing attention?

As others have said - keep looking - there is a bike out there which will be right for you.
