I'd like to see the same rider, same comparison on the Triumph Sprint GT.

I think the bike was more aimed at the European market, no? How will it fair over there? That's a tough call. The VFR has always been a more popular bike there, but as Wes mentioned, the BMW is a known. The bike marketplace here is sketchy right now anyway and given the economic woes of many people, it's a bad time to intro a radically new and expensive bike. I'm still quite sure the bike will have a following, and once the little things are worked out, it'll all be fine. I'm like ToeCutter, I'm waiting for them to hit the used market so we can see what someone with a little money and some customizing skillz can do to them. Honestly, I still believe Honda should have gone more the way we all we pointing in that massive thread on here about "How many would buy a VFR1000?" I mean, they already lightened the engine, but then they friggen made the bike get heavier!!! ARRRGH! Hell, They could have done some minor updates on looks, dropped the weight, upgraded the suspension using stuff already on their other bikes so the costs wouldn't be bad and they could have sold the bike for $3000-$4000 less.

Just imagine a 1000cc VFR weighing in under 500wet, 140hp, singlesided swingarm... fully adjustable susp, little stiffer subframe than CBR so it can hold bags, slightly taller bars than CBR, but less than FJR or other goofball looking handlebars... 5 gals of fuel in metal tank. Honda reliability....

It was a nice dream while it lasted...

I have this month's Bike. They wrote about the Sprint GT from its press launch in Scotland. It was not a comparo... there were no other bikes involved. So compared against itself, I guess you could say it wins. If you're retarded.
